For over 10 years, the Peonix Awards have recognized exemplary projects that transform old, contaminated areas into productive new uses. The awards showcase these successful solutions and publicize these premier development projects as models for other communities around the world. One winner will be selected from each of EPA's 10 regions, along with special winners for community impact, green building, innovative techniques, and cooperative multi-party efforts.

The 12th National Brownfields Conference convenes May 5-7, 2008 at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.
