Ashland County Landfill
Ashland, Ohio
Hull has managed all aspects of environmental monitoring at the Ashland County Landfill. Hull has coordinated and implemented the ground water monitoring program since 1989. These duties included:
- Management of the Ashland County Landfill ground water and environmental monitoring programs through three different changes in the regulations;
- Development of sampling and analysis plans to address detection;
- Assessment and compliance monitoring criteria;
- Sample collection and report preparation;
- Development of an appropriate statistical plan and statistical analyses to determine the impact of the landfill on groundwater in the area; and
- Successful demonstration to the Ohio EPA that elevated concentrations of selected parameters were the result of brine contamination from oil/gas explorations previously conducted in the region and not the result of activities at the facility; resulting in a cost savings of greater than $15,000 to the facility.
