Tontogany WWTP Lagoon Improvements
Village of Tontogany, Ohio

Lagoon Improvements

Hull advanced a test pit trench within the WWTP berm to observe the cause of a recently observed seep. The test pit trench was backfilled with a bentonite-based material (e.g., AquaBlok®) to provide a low-permeable cut-off wall. This test pit approach allowed a geotechnical exploration to be conducted and immediate improvements to the berm to be implemented concurrently through maintenance activities in lieu of an expensive berm reconstruction that would possibly require an Ohio EPA permit modification.

To find out how Hull can help, please contact Hull's Geoenvironmental Practice Leader, Shawn McGee , PE at (440) 232-9945.
