Hull is assisting the Potential Responsible Party (PRP) group associated with the Former Diamond Shamrock Painesville Works Site (Painesville, Ohio) fulfill regulatory obligations under Directors Final Findings and Orders issued by Ohio EPA. The Orders require a Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Remedial Investigation/Feasible Study (RI/FS) and RD/RA for a 1,100 acre site consisting of over 20 Operable Units. This project has been ongoing for over ten years and is currently focused on coordinating remediation with effective land-use planning that will allow the property to be re-developed for recreational and residential use. Hull is preparing human and ecological risk assessments in support of the remedial investigation (baseline), feasibility study, and post-remedy demonstration of completion for each Operable Unit, including site wide groundwater pathways to the Grand River and Lake Erie. This is a huge undertaking involving thousands of data points, multiple media exposure pathways, and multiple land uses.
