Hull || Services|| Urban Revitalization + Brownfield Redevelopment
Hull has more than 25 years
of experience in Brownfield Redevelopment; transforming undervalued
properties into viable assets.
We help you evaluate and mitigate risk by taking
on some of the risk ourselves through equity investments and
alternative contract strategies. At Hull, we take this commitment seriously
and have an ownership interest in several Brownfield Redevelopments.
We have built Hull offices on Brownfields that we revitalized.
We have secured more than $144 million in state and federal
grants and loans to assess and clean up brownfields.
Our government relations team assists our clients with the
myriad of public involvement issues and regulatory changes.
Hull leverages its expertise in remediation, constraint engineering,
and energy to increase the return on redevelopment investments.
The result is restoration of tax revenues, reduced contamination,
increased property value, preservation of green space, and
additional real estate development opportunities for the entire
community.
Successful Brownfield Redevelopment demands that smart decisions be made when transforming a neglected or abandoned property into viable real estate. Hull is proud to have helped several clients build a stronger economic future for their communities and improve the quality of life for the people who live there through strategic Brownfield Redevelopment. Our value is evident through our many accomplishments and our diverse team of experts in economic development, risk assessment, construction services, funding, and public relations.
The volume of those who have sought our advice is representative of the respect we have gained in the field. We are frequently invited to speak before state committees, business associations, and state and national conferences about brownfield policy and our successes.
Hull performs targeted environmental investigations where appropriate, so our clients can make critical decisions early in the project. Integrating remediation into construction and beneficial reuse of materials is always considered. Hull strategies can often reduce these costs significantly, making the property more competitive with green space development.
Many private, public and non-profit entities have benefited from Hull’s understanding of a wide range of funding programs. The majority of these funds helped leverage assessment, cleanup and redevelopment commitments for communities. At the federal level, we’ve helped obtain funding for 23 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) brownfield grant applicants and served as the lead environmental consultant for implementation of EPA brownfields grant projects in 24 communities. We’ve also prepared two of the first EPA Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund applications awarded in Ohio.
In addition, we have prepared 52 successful grant applications under the Clean Ohio Fund programs worth more than $96 million.
