Waste Management and Beneficial Use

Since the inception of modern waste regulations, the Hull team has been recognized as a market leader in the material and waste management sector.

We have worked on over 150 landfills and impoundments, numerous beneficial use applications (i.e., dredged material, foundry sand, coal combustion residuals, etc.), and a multitude of development and strategic plans. Our expertise includes coal-fired energy plants, municipal solid waste facilities, industrial/residual waste landfills, construction and demolition debris landfills, and industry by-products. We are supporting our clients in implementing successful material and waste management programs applying engineering, science and economic principles.

Hull assists our clients with maintaining compliance on air, ecological, surface and groundwater, leachate, explosive gas, and waste characterization. Hull has also established creative monitoring strategies that protect human health, safety and the environment. We have assisted our clients with mergers and acquisitions, and provided expert support through the permitting, operations, closure and post-closure periods. Our advocacy, governmental relations and community outreach efforts have engaged stakeholders and helped shape new policies.
