Hull was selected by the City of Cambridge to complete a project which included reconstruction and widening of the roadway along Clark Street from Steubenville Avenue to Edgeworth Avenue.
Work will consist of replacement of existing asphalt, sub-base, sidewalks, and storm sewer system.
Hull designed new traffic signals at the intersection of Clark Street and Clairmont Avenue. Hull also performed the topographic survey and developed right-of-way plans to be used for the project. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and associated documentation was performed by Hull as well.
Hull completely redesigned the storm sewer system to improve drainage as a part of the larger project.
This design involves many challenging items including steep side slopes and stairways that squeeze the right-of-way, complete maintenance of traffic plans, multiple utility conflicts with considerable coordination, and a major public involvement campaign.
Stage 2 plans are complete, with Stage 3 plans scheduled for the spring of 2019. Construction of this project is scheduled for the summer of 2020.
