Water Resources Engineering – Shale & Gas Industry

As the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays unfold, the management of source water and waste water associated with the development and production of wells has become a major component of project success.

Hull provides engineering and hydrogeologic services to locate, transport, store, recycle and reuse source water for the fracturing of wells, as well as services to collect, store, treat, reuse and dispose of flowback and production water in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Hull successfully identified and permitted the use of treatment wastewater effluent for use as make-up water for a Utica Shale hydraulic fracturing operation in Ohio.  This project also included innovative methods for rapid installation of on-ground temporary piping through wetlands and surface waters.

Hull has completed permitting and design for multiple installations of a zero liquid discharge alternative treatment technology to treat produced water and recover clean water for reuse in the Oil and Gas industry.
