Jim Roberts, PE is Vice President of Hull & Associates, Inc. and operates its Newark, Ohio office (formerly Jobes Henderson & Associates) which was acquired by Hull in 2015. Jim oversees all civil engineering operations and business development in a quality assurance/quality control position. Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and has over 33 years of experience in the engineering industry. Prior to his role with Hull, Jim was City Engineer for the City of Newark. His key skills in the utilities sector include public agency coordination, planning, analysis and design review of water, sewer and storm water infrastructure. In the transportation field, Jim has experience in planning, roadway, bridge design, inspections and analysis. He is also fluent in the preparation of grant assistance, cost estimating and has served as an expert witness on numerous occasions.
Jim is very active in his community and church and is an Elder at the Heath Church of Christ. Jim continues to stay involved with The Ohio State University as an Ohio Stadium usher and received the prestigious Robert M. Duncan Alumni Citizenship Award for his distinguished volunteer service to the community. He serves on a variety of boards and volunteer organizations, and was a 16-year member of the Heath Board of Education. He also is a bicycling enthusiast and regularly rides in the Pelotonia Bike Ride fundraiser to cure Cancer with other Hull company associates.
